Welcome in 2009!!!  
This is the beginning of the 2009 season of the CVGPi, already! So, ready? :D 
 
For the old drivers and for the new ones, this is an introduction of the CVGPi, 2009 version! 
 

The F1 championship

The mythic championship of the CVGPi, the F1 championship on the Grand Prix 4 game, is brand new for this year, with some tiny changes to prepair the future. 
 

Calendar

 
As from the next 2010 season, this championship will take place from september to june, and no longer from january to december as we were used to. That's the end of the big summer cuts which cutted short our impulsions of the beginning of the seasons!  
 
To make a transition with this big change in 2010, the 2009 calendar has been changed : only 6 events, to award the "2009 F1 champion". Cf calendar.  
 
So, who will be the next in this long line of champions of the CVGPi that is made of Yohan, Vincent, Nico, Stallone, MiKL and SpeedyGus? Who will succeed to the Bleu Esprit team, triple champion of the event? The answer in june ;) 
 

Rules

 
You can read the F1 Rules on the website, it has been updated. There is only a fe changes : 
 
- A new reckoner of the points. Except the participation point, only the 20 first drivers will score points : from 33 points for the 1st to 2 points for the 20th. 
 
- The use of GPxPatch v3.93 is adviced from the 1st event of the calendar, obligatory as from the 2nd event of the calendar. You will find it in the Download section of the website.  
 
- The 2009 performance file (optional) will be the same as in 2008. Once the season started, it will only be updated with the names of the participating drivers. You will find it in the Download section of the website.  
 
- The 2009 CVGPi patch (obligatory) will be the same as in 2008. You will find it in the Download section of the website.  
 

The MSS Championship

Every year, this championship will allow us to use our imagination, to try new rules, new physics for GP4, to have fun differently...  
 
We keep the same objective for 2009, but not on the GP4 game! This year, the MSS championship will allow us to test new games, during 1 or more GPs : 
- LFS 
- Toca 
- GTR 
- Etc.  
 
This championship will be intercalated during the free weeks of the F1 championship, from january to june.  
 
The rankings of the MSS championship will be the sum of the results of every events, even if they were with several different games. 
 
To allow the largest number to participate, we will mainly use trial or free versions of the games, the objective being to test these games, and to prepair the future of the CVGPi... ;) 
 
The MSS Rules will soon been online. 
 

The Hotlaps Championship

Novelty in the Hotlaps championship in 2009 : it will not have its own events, but will be in fact made of the qualifyings of the F1 championship. 
 
Each F1 qualifying event will determine, not only the grid position for the F1 race, but also a ranking in the Hotlaps championship for this event. 
 
For the rules, the rules of the F1 championship are appliable. The only difference with the Hotlaps championship of the previous years is that the session code will be obligatory, like in F1.  
 
Like every year, a Hotlaps champion will be awarded. 
 

To recap...

A shorter 2009 season... but full!  
- A F1 championship of 6 events 
- A Hotlaps championship based on the qualifyings of the F1 championship 
- A MSS championship based on several different games, in order to prepair the future of the CVGPi...
