Those advises in the installation procedure of the game Grand Prix 4 can be useful for GP4 beginners as well as someone who have so many troubles to run the game. 
 

Procedure

1. UNINSTALL THE GAME (IF ALREADY INSTALLED)

 
a. First, make a backup of all your saves, hotlaps and setups contained in your Grand Prix 4 directory on your hard drive. 
 
b. Second, use the automatic uninstallation software of the game 
Use the "Add/Remove programs" available in the "Configuration panel" of Windows XP. 
 
c. Third, delete manually all the files contained in the Grand Prix 4 directory as well as the directory itself.

2. INSTALLATION OF THE GAME

 
a. Install your game from your installation CD. 
 
b. Then, test your game launching it with the icon just created by the installation software. Configure the sound and the graphics. Launch a race and verify everything works. You do not need to finish the race, just a couple of corners and you can leave.
