Rules

This is the Official Rules 2009. They are also available in english. The original version is in french. Please read the rules carefully before beginning to participate in our championships.

Introduction

This website www.grandprix4.org organizes following 3 championships : F1, MSS and Hotlaps.
This league is also called the CVGPi : Virtual Championship of Grand Prix on Internet (but the CV is flipped in French).

The F1 and Hotlaps championships are based on the video game Grand Prix 4, sold by Infogrammes. Every person wanting to participate here must buy this game before being able to race here.
The MSS championship will be based during this year on several different video games : LFS, GTR, etc. Every person wanting to participate here must buy this game before being able to race here, or use a demo version

These championships are free : no financial contribution is asked from anyone.
They are also friendship : the participation of each registered member is not obligatory for each event.

The F1 and Hotlaps championships are held offline : each player does his qualifies/races in his home against the computer cars of the game, without internet connexion to other players, and then uploads the result to the website.
The MSS championship will be help either offline either online : more informations will be given for each event.
Each championship consists of events taking place according a precise calendar. At the end of each event, the verification team checks the files then validates the event.

Validated players will receive points according to the results and according a point scale and added up to the proper championship.

These Official Rules 2009 are divided in several parts, corresponding to various championships:

- The F1 Rules, for the F1 championship
- The MSS Rules, for the MSS championship
- The Hotlaps Rules, for the Hotlaps championship

Theses rules are applying to the CVGPi championships and are available at the www.grandprix4.org.
